Privacy Policy | Apexsupplydirects Brisbane

apexsupplydirects runs this page so you know exactly what happens to your details when you order a brake kit, a set of coilovers or a cat-back exhaust from us. Below you will find the plain-English version of what we collect, why we keep it, who else sees it, and how you can get it corrected or deleted. If you only read one line, make it this one: we never sell your name, address or email to anyone.

Who we are

Apexsupplydirects sells brake, suspension and exhaust components and runs a fitting workshop from Level 11, 111 Eagle Street, Brisbane QLD 4000, Australia. This policy explains what personal information we hold about the people who buy from us or book time in the workshop, and what we do with it. It covers the website at apexsupplydirects.com, phone and email enquiries, and in-person visits to the workshop.

The business owner is Marcus J. Whitfield, and he is the person responsible for how your information is handled. If you want to know what we hold about you, ask him directly using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

What we collect

We only ask for what a parts order or a workshop booking actually needs. In practice that is:

  • Your name, phone number, email address and delivery or billing address
  • Vehicle details such as make, model, year, engine code and registration, because parts fitment depends on them
  • Order history, invoices and payment references. We never see or store full card numbers, those stay with the payment provider
  • Workshop notes taken during a booking, including measurements and photographs of the parts we removed
  • Messages you send us by email, web form or text

We do not buy contact lists and we do not collect information about your health, religion, political views or anything else that is not needed to supply parts or labour.

Why we hold it and who else sees it

We use your information to quote, supply and fit the parts you ordered, to handle warranty claims, and to keep the accounting records the ATO expects us to keep. We also use your phone or email to tell you when an order arrives or when a booked job is ready for pickup.

Information is shared only where it has to be. That means delivery companies that need an address, parts suppliers who need vehicle details to match a component, our accountant, and the payment provider that processes the transaction. We do not sell personal information and we do not pass it to advertising networks.

Cookies and website tracking

The website uses a small number of cookies to keep your cart working and to remember whether you accepted or declined the cookie notice. Analytics cookies record which pages get visited so we can fix the ones that load slowly. You can decline the non-essential cookies from the banner on the homepage, and the site still works. The full list sits in our cookie policy.

Storage, security and how long we keep it

Order and workshop records are held in our booking system, which is access controlled and backed up daily. Paper invoices sit in a locked cabinet at the workshop. We keep tax and warranty records for seven years, which is the period the ATO requires. Enquiries that never turn into a sale are deleted after twenty-four months. When records are no longer needed we shred paper copies and delete digital ones.

Your rights and how to contact us

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything that is wrong, or ask us to delete records we are not legally required to keep. Write to apexsupplydirects@gmail.com or call +61 7 3824 9176 and we will respond within thirty days.

If you are not happy with how we handled a request, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. Visitors from the European Union also have the right to complain to their local data protection authority.
