Cookie Policy | Apexsupplydirects Brisbane
apexsupplydirects runs this page so you know exactly what happens to your details when you order a brake kit, a set of coilovers or a cat-back exhaust from us. Below you will find the plain-English version of what we collect, why we keep it, who else sees it, and how you can get it corrected or deleted. If you only read one line, make it this one: we never sell your name, address or email to anyone.
What a cookie is here
A cookie is a small file the website stores in your browser. Some of them keep the shopping cart working between pages, others tell us whether you have already answered the cookie notice. We also use local storage, which holds the same kind of information but is not sent back to the server with every request.
Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the shop functional. They cannot be switched off because the site would break without them.
- Session cookie: holds your cart contents and logged-in state for the length of your visit
- Cookie choice record: remembers whether you accepted or declined the notice, kept for about six months
- Security token: prevents forged form submissions on the enquiry and checkout pages
Analytics and performance cookies
We use a single analytics tool to count page views and see where visitors leave the site. It records the pages visited, the referring site, the browser type and an approximate location based on IP, which is shortened before it is stored. These cookies stay for thirteen months. They are only set if you choose Accept on the notice.
What we do not use
There are no advertising or retargeting cookies on this site, no social media pixels and no cross-site tracking. We do not build a profile of your browsing and we do not sell data to anyone. Embedded maps load from Google and can set their own cookies when you interact with the map area, which is outside our control.
Changing your mind
You can decline non-essential cookies from the banner on the homepage and the site still works, you just lose the analytics that help us fix slow pages. To review or clear what is already stored, open the privacy or site data settings in your browser and delete entries for apexsupplydirects.com. Blocking all cookies through browser settings will stop the cart from holding items between pages.
For the wider picture on how we handle personal information, read the privacy policy.
